The two-tone wall is an intriguing pattern of paint applied to an interior wall. It’s usually a combination of a gradient or a line of paint with a contrasting color. Like the two-tone door, the two-tone wall can have a patterned look like a wood paneled door, or it can be a solid color like a brick door.
There are many different techniques for two-tone walls. The most common is to paint an inner wall a neutral shade (either a mid-tone or a light color) and the outer wall a contrasting color. However, sometimes the two-tone wall can take on other patterns.
Two-tone walls can be used for more than just a door. Sometimes they can be used as a part of a wall treatment like the two-tone brick wall. Sometimes they can be used to create a pattern, like the two-tone brick door or the two-tone brick wall. You can see more examples in the image gallery below.

We have a lot of two-tone walls on the site and while some are beautiful, a lot of them take on a darker or more realistic look.
The two-tone wall is one of those patterns that has a lot of power to it. I think a lot of people tend to want to use two-tone walls for things that are dramatic, but without knowing what a two-tone wall is, it can be a really boring pattern. When you see something like the image below and try to figure out what it is, you might start to think the wall is fake. But a two-tone wall is actually pretty simple to make.
One of the first things we did in our video intro was to create a two-tone wall that was very similar to the images below. The first is the actual wall we made, and the second is a version of the wall we built to give another example of the power of two-tone walls.
The two that are shown in the video are actually a combination of two different wall styles. The one shown is a “solid” two-tone wall that is actually a pattern of overlapping tiles. The other one shown is a “patterned” two-tone wall that is actually a grid of tiles that are spaced 1.5 units apart and spaced 1.5 units apart. The pattern of tiles is the same in both of these versions.
In the video we’re shown the two different styles of walls, both of which are two-tone. We’re also shown the difference between the two of them by showing that the patterned wall is a grid of tiles that are spaced 1.5 units apart and spaced 1.5 units apart, but we’re not shown the grid of tiles that are spaced 1.5 units apart and spaced 1.5 units apart.
