Ultimate Frisbee:

Fun for all ages, you can play Ultimate Frisbee in any weather and it doesn’t require a lot of equipment. The only thing needed is something to hit the disc with (a frisbee), an open field, and players on each team (minimum four). A game consists of two periods that last up to 30 minutes each. At the beginning of every period, teams line up at opposite ends of the playing area and pass or throw their discs into the other end zone while also defending against passes made by their opponents. You cannot run with your disk unless it has been caught. This rule helps keep things fair for everyone!

Touch Football:

Touch Football is a game that requires the least amount of equipment out of all sports listed in this blog. You will need two teams, flags and maybe some cones to mark boundaries  but these are not vital for playing!

Fun fact: Touch football was invented by American high schoolers in 1931 as a way to play football without actually tackling each other

Golfing:

You can golf at any age and it’s an activity you only have to pay for when you’re ready (unlike tennis). It doesn’t require much more than balls, clubs, gloves and tees. And if you don’t want to invest too deeply into your gear yet or still feel like trying before buying, there are plenty of places that rent out these sports equipment.

Fun Fact: The Golfing World Record is 260 (tied)

Kickball:

A game for all ages, it’s a great way to get some good exercise while having fun and getting in touch with your teammates!

Fun Fact: In the USA alone there are over 400 leagues of Kiball players

Bocce Ball:

Daily activities like grocery shopping can be more enjoyable when you play bocce ball as a family or group of friends on the side. Who knows, this activity might even help keep things interesting between trips to the store! It requires only one large ball and two smaller balls called “pucks”. It’s a game the whole family can enjoy!

Fun Fact: There is no limit to how many people you can have on each team

Baseball:

Baseball and Basketball are popular in America. These games consist of two teams throwing a ball into the other team’s basket or taking it with their hands across an opponent’s goal line, respectively.

Tennis:

Tennis is played on a court by hitting balls over nets using racquets that each player carries at all times during play. This game has been around since the 16th century! It can be traced back as far as 1530 when English aristocrats developed this lawn version of croquet while playing in their gardens.

Croquet:

Croquet is a lawn game played by two teams of up to four players on opposite sides of a rectangular court divided into six areas called “croquettes”. The object of the game is to hit balls through opponents’ hoops and under ropes, which are stretched across each end of the course at ground level for that purpose.

Fun Fact! It was also mentioned as one-player arcade games from 1977 before it became popularized during the 1990s!
