This is a photo that I came across when I was browsing through my photo collection. It was taken in my favorite boudoir in New York City in the spring of 2000. I was a college student visiting the city to do some work at a summer job, so I was visiting with my friend, who was a photographer. The image made it into the gallery I found it in, and when I saw the photo again I almost died. I wanted to have that moment in my life.
It is not a boudoir photo, but rather a photo of me at my best friend’s boudoir in a fancy location in New York City. In the photo, I look like the perfect woman, yet I’m not. I’m just that girl that everyone is always talking about, the one that everyone would like to have the perfect life with. The fact that this image made it into the gallery is another indication that it is not a boudoir photo.

But the second reason is that because its beautiful and glamorous, it’s also a pretty good photo of me. But it wouldn’t be a boudoir photo if it wasn’t for the fact that it was taken by a fashion photographer who is, in my opinion, one of the best photographers in the world.
So why, after a decade of being a photojournalist, would any photographer want to take a photo of me in my boudoir? The answer is because it works. It looks great, it’s not overdone, and you can’t take it apart. In other words, because I look so good, it works. That’s why I love this boudoir image.

But I know that at least one of these fashion photographers wouldnt have been willing to take a photograph of a woman in her boudoir if it wasnt for their own personal tastes.
