I work for a technology integrator in a small business. I am currently in the field for an organization that primarily focuses on the internet. We support the needs of several large companies through the internet and other IT and Internet solutions.
In my job I am the liaison between the technology integrator, customer, and other departments. I am a great asset to my company as they work to create a cohesive network of technology that works for their company.
The job description I received was pretty vague, but it was enough to make me feel as if I was the only computer guy in a large company. I will say that I am definitely an asset to my company because I am extremely knowledgeable about all the latest technologies and I am always in the office to talk to customers and other departments. I must admit that I’m not the best programmer in the office, but I can help get things done. I will be bringing up software upgrades, writing scripts for the customer support department, and helping the other departments to develop new and better systems. I’m a lot of fun, and I’ve even been known to be a bit of a jokester.

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in computer science, specializing in programming languages and algorithms, which I am working on with a group of fellow students at the University of Washington.

So it’s basically trying to make sense of the world without having to sit at a keyboard and write code.
Technology integrators can also be good at other jobs like project management and building a tech-savvy workforce. For example, a company building a high-tech manufacturing plant might hire a technology integrator to help the company understand how they can improve the efficiency and standardization of their processes.
I think that when you’re looking at a job description for a technology integrator, one of the things to look for is the “fun” factor. There’s no way that someone who’s looking for a job with a tech integrator in it is not going to be a fun person to hang out with. I know that my girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend is a tech integrator, and so is my ex-boss, and my ex-colleague.
Technology integrators are great. I like them because they have a big personality, are fun to hang out with, and can be very helpful to you. They can also be your best friend.
