You’re going to the very northeast corner of the game world for this, so stock up on food, weapons, and a torch for the journey. On the road directly to the south of the Akkala tech lab, you’ll find a stable with a shrine that conveniently acts as a fast travel point. Anyone who played Zelda Breath of the Wild can most likely still remember the two quests in which we have to transport blue flames from A to B.
So, after clearing the area of enemies – erm, mostly – Itzal surveyed the lay of the land, then began his torch-lighting ceremony with a tree branch. Continuing the inanity, Robbie also requires proof of Link’s identity, not by inspecting his driver’s what does www stand for license, but rather by asking our poor hero to disrobe and show his scars. (Hello, HR Department?) Once Link’s in his underwear, Robbie will agree to help. But first – you guessed it – he needs Link to light the lab’s furnace out front.
The rationale being, it is situated in a strange lighthouse towards the easternmost cliff of Akkala. Now, there are some rules that make the player eligible to enter this lab. One most significant rule is that you cannot enter the lab without speaking with Purah. He lives in Hateno Village and mostly remains available in Hateno Ancient Tech Lab.
This page explains how to start and complete the Robbie’s Research side quest. Easily obtained by chopping down small trees. Branches can be lit on fire and used as a flaming weapon – though it won’t last long.
Make sure you have weapons to fight off goblins and other creatures in the way. There are two tech labs in Zelda Breath of The Wild – one in Hateno Village, the other near Akkala. After following the path of lantern posts for long enough, you’ll eventually get back to the tech lab and be able to light the blue furnace, creating a fast travel point.
You’ll very soon come to the main path, which is then a short walk back up to the Tech Lab. Light the furnace out front and it’ll activate a fast travel point in future. Head inside and talk to Pumin, who will update your Slate and add the ability to add Captured Memories, flesh out your Hyrule Compendium, and take pictures. When you’re ready, head east out of the village and take the winding path up to the building perched on the cliff.
