I have recently started dmax photography, and am loving it. The way I see myself is that I am a photographer, and I love it. When I say I love it, I mean I love the process of it, and the output of it. I love getting to know the people I am working with, and I love the process of shooting. The money I make from my photography work is helping pay for school and working a full time job.
Being a photographer, I feel that it is important for me to be open to new experiences, and I think that means I need to be open to new things. The problem that I see is that when most photographers are open to new things, they are always looking for something new to shoot. And they are always looking for that next big “hit.
This is true for many of us, myself included. It may sound arrogant, but I have never been afraid to be open to anything new. When I started my photography business, I had no idea how to do anything, so I started off with my own portfolio and just focused on what I thought I would do well. I went to college, I took some photography courses, and I worked as an assistant to a photographer. I learned a ton, but I never took any classes in photography.
Photography classes like this don’t exist in the “real world.” But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go for it. If you want to learn how to use Photoshop or any other computer software, that’s fine. But if you want to learn how to take a photo, that’s a different story. And I suggest you research all the different ways to learn photography before you jump into the black.
I’ve been taking photography classes for years now, and it’s one of those things like photography that you just can’t not do. You learn so much from your classes that you often find yourself doing things you’ve never been able to do before. Even though you can’t take a class in the real world, many of the things you learn in the class are still applicable to life outside the classroom.
Thats especially true for photography, but the same applies for any of the arts and crafts. The basics of photography are the same whether you’re studying art history or art journalism. You learn how to focus your camera, know where your favorite colors are, and how to use the zoom and aperture controls.
I always felt like I had a knack for photography, but I thought I had to study it for a long time before I could really get anywhere. The truth is I never really learned how to take pictures. So I never really felt like I was good at it.
It took me six attempts to figure out how to use the camera on my cell phone and two more attempts to figure out how to make my phone work. The problem is that you have to know where to put the focus, you have to know which color to use, and you have to know what the best settings for each part of the photo are. It is the same thing with art and craft.
As a photographer, you have to know where to point the camera and know what your subject is looking at. If you don’t know what to do in any given situation, you’re going to have a very hard time getting good pictures. Just because you can’t get good pictures doesn’t mean you don’t have talent. I have a friend who makes art for her children, and my goal is to help her learn to draw, paint, and sculpt.
I know I have a lot of trouble with people and their art. I am pretty good at painting/drawing/sculpting, but I just dont have the skills to make good art. However, I have been taking courses in photoshop for about two years now and I have become a pretty good painter. As a result I am able to produce high quality images that are not as easy to find in other programs. This is really helpful. I think about this a lot.
