Eugen Richards is a photographer who shoots people in public for their own personal enjoyment and as inspiration for others.
In the trailer Eugen is apparently a model who has just gone to a public shoot in a restaurant. He then proceeds to run around the streets of Los Angeles as the model so that he can take the camera away from the model and have her pose in front of an interesting building or whatever it is the model is trying to capture in her shot.
Eugen is definitely a photographer. We’ve already seen him shooting people in public for his own enjoyment too. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligence party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity. The trailer also has a great shot of Eugen in front of a building, with a phone and a big camera. Eugen is definitely a photographer.
The game definitely has a lot of visual flair, but the style of Eugen’s shots are definitely very much a “I’m on vacation” style, so it can be difficult to tell whether he’s actually shooting people. He may be, but the game doesn’t tell us. The model is holding a black camera with a wide angle lens (most likely) and Eugen is shooting by using a zoom lens.
Eugen may be shooting people, but he’s also going to be shooting himself. Which is a whole other thing. We’ll see in the game, because we’re not allowed to know anything about the game, and in this case we’re gonna have to wait and see.
Eugen is definitely NOT a model, and he’s probably not shooting people, because the game is shooting Eugen. The game is shooting Eugen, and if that werent the case, the game would not be so boring. Eugen isnt even that good at this game.
