I’ve been shooting hair for over 20 years, and I still get asked about what I do. It varies between being a professional photographer, a stylist; and working freelance as a hair consultant. I like being able to tell people what exactly I do, and if they’re interested enough to call me to come out to their home, or ask me to set up a shoot with them.
Hair is one of those things that really hasn’t changed that much. Yes, we’ve had more of a focus on hair for a few years in the last few years, but that’s mostly because we’ve gotten more into the technical side of hair, and less into the hair itself. We’ve also been working more with celebrities, so you’ll find a lot more celebrity hair shoots in the last few years.
Hair is as much about how we look as how we look. We all know that the hair on your head is the most important thing to wear and that the hair on your head is the most important thing to look like. While not all of us have the time to spend getting up to 5 minutes every morning to do our hair, there are still people out there that can make a pretty good living selling hair products.

For years, I’ve been telling people that if you want your hair to look good, you should do it yourself. Now that I’ve grown up and can look at my own hair, I’m surprised that I haven’t bought some sort of hair product. For a while, I tried to buy cheap, generic hair products, but they all seemed to look really bad.
Ive tried to do a “hair light” video. This was the one I did. I had a friend with a super long curly hair. I had to bleach it so it looked like crap. It was the most ridiculous video you will ever see. I had to throw the hair in a blender and make it look like a pile of crap. This is the video that almost broke me. Because it was so ridiculous, my hair looked like crap.
Its a funny video to watch, but I think it’s not that funny. The weird thing is that the hair looks pretty good in the final product. It’s not a “hair light” video at all, but my hair looks like it was lightened. I was also a bit disappointed in how long the hair was, because it was definitely a bit too long and didn’t look as long as it could have.
