I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Kristin Anderson for almost a decade and I have seen the world through Kristin’s eyes. From the time I was in high school, I knew she was a photographer and I always admired her style. She and I are the same age and we have gone on countless adventures together and I’ve learned a lot from her.
I’ve had the chance to see her work more times than I can remember and she always manages to pull off stunning portraits of people that arent as beautiful as they look. In fact, she is one of those photographers which is completely subjective; she chooses the lighting and background, and if she chooses to use a color, I often end up liking it. I’m not saying you wont like it, but I would think that you would.
With this in mind, here are some of my favorite portraits of people taken by kristin.
I recently heard of a new photographer who does a lot of black and white portraits. I didnt know who she was, but she does a pretty unique style that I love.
Kale is a black and white portrait photographer who does portraits of athletes and rock stars. She uses a lot of close-up shots, often using a black background to create drama in the portrait.

She is currently in the midst of a project that I think will change the way we think about photographing people. It is called, “All of Your Friends Are Photographers.” It is a series that seeks to change the way we view photography.
I have no idea what the idea behind this project is. The name has me stumped. Kristin has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UC Berkeley and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She currently lives in Southern California and is working on her Ph.D. at UC Berkeley in photography and digital design. She is one of the top portrait photographers in California.
She is the kind of person who can have an idea and then go and do something about it. She has been trying to get more people to photograph themselves for a long time now. She uses a variety of media to do this including photography, video, and audio.
Kristin has recently started a new hobby of photographing her friends in the nude for her online portfolio. She doesn’t just have a regular photo booth set up, she has a photo booth every day. She also has several nude photo shoots happening every week. She plans on having two more nude photo shoots in the near future.
It’s a lot of fun to be a part of a group of beautiful people in a variety of positions getting naked for themselves. There’s something very erotic about being naked for someone else. Plus it seems to be a great way to get others to see your naked body without the threat of judgement. This is a great way to get more people to photograph themselves with you in a non-judgemental way.
