I love getting a glimpse into the lives of my children and the various ways in which they express themselves. By knowing how they dress and carry themselves, I can better understand what makes them unique and how they feel about themselves. I find it fascinating to see the different ways they present themselves. I am always surprised by how they look and how they act.

We’re not alone in this. Many parents have a hard time seeing their newborns in different ways. The idea that there’s a baby in each of our arms and a baby in each of our faces is one of the most difficult things to see in life. Many children, or even their parents, seem to struggle with this.
The first few years after a baby is born are a weird time for most parents because they are often too busy with their new baby to focus on how they look. Then comes the time when they are fully engaged in their new baby. It’s during this time that many parents are able to see their baby’s face in a new way, but they can’t get their arms around their baby’s body. It’s like they can move them but not the rest of their body.
I often feel like I’m in a time loop. I want to be a photographer, but I’d rather be a lawyer or doctor or something equally productive. I wish that I never had to take pictures ever again.
So many things can happen in the time after you are born. You can get married, you can have kids, and you can have long or short careers. But you also have to get serious about taking pictures. Now, with so many of us being photographers, that can be a bit of a challenge. While many people have very good skills at taking pictures, not everyone can focus on the subject to the right size and tone.

It’s not about the skills, but the equipment. Most of us who do a lot of photography have our own equipment, a Nikon or Canon DSLR camera, a tripod, lens, lens hood, and a case so we can store all of our equipment in a nice tidy package.
