It really is as simple as taking a picture of something. I’ve been doing it a lot lately because with the advent of digital photography, I can see a lot of images that were taken many years ago and I want to see what is going on with them now. It is a way for me to get in touch with my own past and my own history.

I love shooting models with natural hair, but I will also take a second look at models’ hair in a way that is not naturalistic. Even though it can be hard to get models to wear ponytails that extend past their shoulders, I like to see models with hair that is full-frontal, messy, and natural.
I can see why this is important. Not only is it important to be respectful of the models, but it’s also important to have the models be the only one in the photo. Just as photographers have to have a good memory of their models, models should have a good memory of themselves. When I go home, I take my memory card and have my wife put a good photo of my model on it. Then I just look at the photo and remember the person who made it.
This is important because, in a way, the photo is the model. You see, photographers are like us. We don’t take pictures of ourselves because we’re self-conscious. You might think that’s a ridiculous notion. But when you see someone in the flesh, you can see that they’re not at all self-conscious. Their face is a constant reminder of their very human self.
This is why photographers are so important. They are often the only people who see what you might not notice in the picture. Its also why they can be the only people who are able to fix a picture after it is taken. I have a friend who makes a living by creating a photo that is totally different than what he saw in the camera. All of his models are from the same city and they all have very similar looks.
