It mainly provides services based on IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS. These are the key parameters which decide the role of cloud services to the end users. These services can be offered to the end users through virtualization over the internet. Cloud has many advantages like large scaled computing, flexible infrastructures, pay per use, on demand services and many more.
In this work, we exhaustively survey those proposals from major venues, and uniformly compare them based on a set of proposed taxonomies. We also discuss open problems and prospective research in the area. Distributed heterogeneous systems have been widely adopted in industrial applications by providing high scalability and performance while keeping complexity and energy consumption under control. However, along with the increase in the number of computing nodes, the energy consumption of distributed heterogeneous systems dramatically grows and is extremely hard to predict. Energy‐conscious task scheduling, which tries to assign appropriate priorities and processors to tasks such that the system energy requirement would be met, has received extensive attention in recent years. However, many approaches reduce energy consumption by extending the completion time.

At present, it is however unclear whether this technique is suitable for the problem at hand and what the performance implications of its use are. We therefore analyze and propose a binary integer program formulation of the scheduling problem and evaluate the computational costs of this technique with respect to the problem’s key parameters. We found out that this approach results in a tractable solution for scheduling applications in the public cloud, but that the same method becomes much less feasible in a hybrid cloud setting due to very high solve time variances. Cloud computing focuses on delivery of reliable, fault-tolerant and scalable infrastructure for hosting Internet based application services. This paper presents the implementation of an efficient Quality of Service based Meta-Scheduler and Backfill strategy based light weight Virtual Machine Scheduler for dispatching jobs. The user centric meta-scheduler deals with selection of proper resources to execute high level jobs.
