The photography course I was recently offered is truly an eye-opening experience. I’m not used to just having a teacher in my life, and I was pleasantly surprised by the instructor’s knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm. I enjoyed all of the subjects we covered and learned a lot about light and composition. I’m excited to continue my photography journey with the instructor.
Photography is a great medium for teaching. In fact, the instructors in this course are great educators for photographers everywhere. They are genuinely interested in helping you learn and use the medium to its maximum potential.

The problem is that photography is an academic subject that is difficult to teach. If you have a camera that costs a cool $400,000 then you have to convince your boss to sign your application. If you have a camera that costs $200 then it will be an easy sell. But even then, it’s a lot of work. Even for an experienced camera owner, knowing how to use a camera and the proper workflow can be difficult.
In one of our own labs, we’ve been working with a couple of Italian photographers. They are genuinely interested in helping you learn and use the medium to its maximum potential. We recently had two of our photographers join us to teach us some photography skills. They are both very talented and very passionate about their craft. One of them is a graphic designer who knows his way around Photoshop. The other is an online photographer and very talented in his own right. We are always happy to have them working with us as they help us to get better at our craft.
We’re not sure how serious any of us are about photography. We have done it before and had our photos go on the cover of magazines. But the truth is that we don’t really care about the money we make from this stuff. We just like to have some fun with our photos.
We’re not really into the money, we just like to have fun with our photos, we’d rather pay to do it than take a job and not get paid for it. Still, we do like to get things for free. When we were in college, we used to do a lot of online freelancing. The more experienced you become, the more you get paid. Our biggest concern is always getting new clients to actually pay us for our work.
