I was recently reminded that I had not taken a picture of a pond since I moved out. One of the reasons I moved out of my childhood home in California was because my family and I had no idea what a pond was. I moved north and the area we lived in was completely different from California’s. I’ve since learned that ponds are beautiful, but to be honest, we were not a visual people.
I remember one day as I was driving up the coast, I pulled off the highway and parked on a quiet side street. My family and I were all staring out at the water. “What is a pond?” I asked them. “A pond is a water body that has a hole in it,” one of my brothers said. My parents thought I was crazy and that the water was filled with fish and other creatures.
We didn’t have that much in common with ponds. Ponding was something we only did on the weekends, and on those days we would either go down to the pond to get the kids fish or go to the beach or even swim in the ocean. I have never been to a pond, so I was just curious.

this is the second time I’ve seen a new video for “ponds photography” on YouTube. The first one I watched was in March 2011 which was the official announcement trailer for the game. This time around, though, it looks like Arkane Studios has taken a new video to the studio. That trailer is about the same length as the game’s official one. I think that’s the best kind of trailer.
I feel like now that we have more information about the game’s visual style, I should probably go back and explore all of the ponds that you can go swimming in. But I guess I will have to wait for the official trailer to see if this is true.
