Like others, I also use ground beef and frozen peas. Didn’t have ground lamb, so used ground turkey as one reviewer suggested. Nice, different, quick way to cook ground meat. We enjoyed it with jasmine rice and peas.

Every restaurant has a lifespan, including Shade, the adored Heights eatery from chef/owner Claire Smith which closed its doors in mid-May. But don’t fret, Smith has returned with Alice Blue, a modern bistro-style restaurant in its place. I never expected to see a building like this in Houston – although I’m not sure why as it’s one of the most multicultural cities in the US. TheBAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Temple is a Hindu place of worship, and anyone is free to come along have a look and take photos from the ground. Not inside though, it’s not a tourist attraction.

I was toldGrub Burgerwas a good one for a quick and filling lunch, and it was just opposite the hotel. Lucky for me I was treated to a burger and milkshake tasting. I wouldn’t recommend the place if you’re on any sort of diet as everything was blummin delicious. Salmon burger, guac beef burger – both yum. And I’d also vote for the bourbon milkshake, the salted caramel one, and especially the Kitchen Sink , featuring crisps, pretzels and toffee sauce – honestly delish.

I added some cumin, curry and coriander. I have made this with Lamb and Chicken. My family loved it, also add peas to both of the dishes. If you are making the Chicken use Chicken Broth. It was edible, but I don’t like cinnamon in savory food. The Garam masala includes cinnamon and I think it would have been better without it.
