Microsoft Windows 10:
Microsoft released the public preview version of Windows 10 recently, and it’s been receiving extremely strong reviews. This update is meant to address all of the issues that Windows 8 had, and Microsoft is already looking forward to making this a great platform for users. They’re hoping to make it one that has mass appeal because they know that the competition is tough in this area and they need to work hard if they hope to be competitive.
It might not be everything you want it to be, but Windows 10 is moving in the right direction, and Microsoft seems determined to make things right with their customers. It’s still in its development phase, but there are already plenty of people getting the new OS installed.
Some are waiting to see how quickly this Windows 10 update gets rolled out and whether or not Microsoft will release a lot of bugs. The updates seem to be frequent at the moment, though, and no major glitches have been reported yet. Microsoft is working diligently on making sure that it’s as bug-free as possible, which could be why the updates have been so frequent lately.
The official release date for Windows 10 is October 17th, and rumors said that Microsoft would make a big announcement about it during their Build 2015 conference. That announcement will be tonight, in fact, and there’s a lot of hope that it will be the release date for Windows 10. If that’s the case, then it represents a fairly big change from everything that happened previously.
Microsoft has not yet announced a specific release date for Windows 10. All we’ve been told is that this new OS will be released to the “general public” in 2015. Whether that means downloadable or retail versions is still up in the air, but we’re expecting them to make an announcement about this soon.
Microsoft recently announced that the next Windows 10 release will be called “Threshold” because it represents a turning point in the company’s history. It will be the first of three new versions that they plan to release over the course of five years. The company isn’t even 100 percent sure on when they plan to release version 10 yet, but we’re hoping that it won’t be too much longer.
This most recent version comes on the heels of Windows 8, which was met with a lot of negativity for being entirely different from previous operating systems made by Microsoft. Microsoft is hoping to turn things around with this next OS, and they’re trying hard to make it as user-friendly as possible.
