The trend I see is that there is now a lot of software and learning aids that are not being used in the classrooms. The reason for that is because most of the people who use them do not know how to use them. There is a lot of confusion and that’s especially true for teachers. Teachers spend most of their time teaching and are therefore not familiar with the uses of a learning aid.
The real problem is that teachers who are not using their learning aids are not using their students. They are not getting the information they need. For example, a teacher might be giving a lecture to a group of students, and a student might show up at the lectern with a blank slate. The teacher must then ask the students what they know about the topic.
The problem is that when a teacher asks questions they don’t really know the answer to, then their students are missing the information that they needed. As a result, the students’ interest in the topic and the student’s ability to learn the material are at risk.
