This wall is from the summer of 2012, after a long layoff. It was created by my husband and I during a time of unemployment. It is an old gallery wall in a former home, which was a former three room suite. We tried to put some of the old home decor back into it (we have a lot of old home decor in our home), but also used it for inspiration for new room decor for our current home. The room is bright and cheerful.
I have a similar piece of vintage art that is also a wall decor in my current home. It is a vintage photograph of a woman and a man, both in their mid-to-late twenties. I found this piece of art while searching for “mid-twenties” pictures online, but it seemed to me that the woman was in her early twenties in the picture.
I noticed that on a few of these vintage photos, the woman is wearing a white dress and holding a red flower. While this may not be an original art piece, it is definitely vintage and is a good inspiration for more vintage pieces in my current home.
I like to add my own personal style with home decorating. When I decorate a room, I think about things that I would like to see in the room and also things that I would like to change or re-do in the room in order to bring out something unique. I also have a few friends who are artists so I try to always bring home some interesting art pieces.
I never used to collect art pieces, but over the last few years, I’ve had more fun than I can mention at the moment. The challenge is finding the right vintage paintings to paint in a home that is starting to develop new life. I’m not sure if this painting is a good example, but if I were to make this painting, I would definitely do it the old way. I would make it look old, and I would paint it with new colors. I would use the same type of brush strokes but a different brush. I would also change the colors of the trees and the sky.
